Marandi Wood Also known as white cedar wood, Marandi makes a great veneer for wooden accessories, we use for our Harmonium body. Apart from being sturdy which requires minimal maintenance, this wood has an aesthetic appeal. This wood requires a seasoning of about one month before it is ready to be used.
Kail wood Also known as Blue Pine
possesses too many knots in it. This wood is commonly found in Himalayas of India. It yields a close grained, moderately hard and durable wood which can be easily painted. we use for Harmonium keys & reed board.

Harmonium we are providing here is a mahagoni-colored harinam harmonium. Marandi Wood for Harmonium body & Kail Wood for Harmonium Keys & Reed board, brass material for the reeds. There are 2 set of reeds in this harmonium. Also there are 2 1/2 octaves – 27 Keys. It also consists of a easy to pump bellow.
Basically, you get everything that you need to play a harmonium, out of the box and you don’t need to buy any other accessories.

We should know one thing.

Not to mention that only the finest bell-metal is beeing used in making these, he sits there for hours and hours on end and finds 100% matching pairs. Thus, every pair of Karatalas, which are a relatively affordable investment (they do not cost as much as a Clay drum, Mridanga or as a Harmonium), went through a fine tuning process, that will be proven by digital technical device, if necessary. Prabhujis ears are so good, he does this tuning without technical help of a digiral or analog tuner. The result is a 100% perfectly tuned pair of Cymbals.
If a single cymbal cannot be matched to a second one, leading to perfect harmony, it lands in another cotton bag again and goes back straightly to the manufacturer.

So far, these thoughts I shared as a prelude. I bought a Harmonium there very recently.
I am into bhakti since more than 30 years, exactly which is the timespan I play the harmonium also.
Before that, for more than 10 years I played the Accordeon, called Harmonika in some countries also. Basically, almost all my life, 42 ys playing the White and Black keys now.
Many years I searched for a portable Harmonium to play and sing along while walking through the cities and villages, wherever I go, singing the Hare Krsna Maha Mantra in public procession. Nagar Sankirtan.
However, I never bought one, as they are by construction light, compact and can be worn around the shoulder by a strap.
